1) Due to the impending/ongoing storm impacting the entire state, the following information and attached EXORD ARS2-Deep Freeze-001-JAN-2026 has been issued requesting County Status Messages to be sent through noon Monday January 27 to assist DHS/SHARES with situational awareness. I have been requested to forward this information to all Amateur Radio Operators.
The simplest method is direct to using the WINLINK RMS
Gateway Network or.....TELNET. There is already a CSM form loaded in WINLINK.
When creating a message go to SELECT TEMPLATE....expand STANDARD FORMS..
and select NY & NJ STATE FORMS. The CSM template is there.FYSA: DMNA JFHQ-JOC SHARES Station NNA2CR in Albany monitors NYS wide CSO
operations 24/7 with Continuity of Operations to NYS DHSES EOC SHARES Station.
NNA2CR is our repository for all CSO message traffic for file, review, and
action so we don't unnecessarily inundate NYS EOC Albany with message traffic.
For us, its a matter of exercising process and procedure especially now during a real
world event.
If you do not have the Winlink form you may also create a CSM using the attached template..
2) In addition, NNY stations are requested to check in to the New York State Phone Traffic & Emergency net on 3925 at 6:00PM Sunday 1/25 and Monday 1/26, and we will also have a special net on 3958 Monday morning at 8:00 AM. You can report weather conditions or pass an actual CSM by voice using the template as a guide. Stations outside of NNY are welcome on these nets.
If you would like additional information and/or would like to pass the traffic by alternate means or at other times, please contact me by email.
